Family contact is vitally important to successfully reunifying children with their families. You are invited to be an innovator of family contact in child welfare! Attend Best Practices in Family Contact virtual training, where you will experience four 4-hour learning sessions.

This interactive and thought-provoking learning experience will bring together Mat-Su Valley foster parents − relative and non-relative providers − ready to discover how to apply best practices that give families the best chance of:

• maintaining parent/child attachment
• building positive future connections
• successful family reunification

Learn how you can safely support and increase family contact for children. The virtual training includes a two-hour online training that will be done prior to the first day of virtual training, which will set the foundation for learning. Two sessions will be dedicated to your unique role as a foster parent, followed by two sessions of interacting with other professionals who support quality family contact. You will receive certification of completion for 18 total training hours. You will be offered a stipend for your time participating in the training.

Free Learning!  So come join us in supporting child well-being.
